Marketing Assistant


Bango is looking for a talented Marketing Assistant. You will be a strong generalist, with a can-do attitude. You can expect to be performing administrative, creative, analytical, organizational, and communication tasks.

The role requires a person who is well organized as you will be juggling multiple responsibilities, supporting the efforts of several marketing team members. You must have an eye for detail, ensuring that all marketing materials are produced to the highest quality. The role involves a commitment to ensure that day to day tasks, and those without an obvious responsibility, are completed well and on-time.

Cambridge, UK

The role:

  • Provide administrative support to the marketing team
  • Assist with the production of sales and marketing materials such as presentations, white papers, and trade show collateral
  • Proof-read copy and provide feedback
  • Keep the CRM database up-to-date by inputting new data, updating old records and performing cross checks
  • Create shareable social media content on a daily basis to increase awareness of Bango
  • Lead the Bango social media portfolio including SlideShare, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Maintain an industry events list, identifying and administering opportunities for speaking and awards
  • Coordinate events including logistics, timelines, staffing and budgets
  • Manage and grow internal social media advocacy group to maximize content sharing
  • Build quality html emails and use CRM software to create segment lists for campaigns
  • Contribute ideas and content for blogs, articles and white papers
  • Update and maintain the marketing department's documentation on SharePoint
  • Manage incoming enquiries to the marketing and sales departments, drafting responses to customer enquiries
  • Assist sales team by providing data and supporting information as requested

Essential requirements:

  • A marketing enthusiast with previous experience in a related role
  • Great organisational skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Able to self-motivate
  • Comfortable providing administrative support to other team members
  • Proficient in all basic business software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)


  • Experience in a technology marketing environment
  • Photoshop and HTML skills
  • Experience with Salesforce and WordPress
  • Events marketing experience
  • Knowledge of social media marketing and techniques, particularly Twitter and Linkedin
  • CIM Professional Certificate or higher
