Bango has partnered with Sun Microsystems and their java.com site to provide a platform to promote mobile Java games and applications directly to your customers.
If you are a creator or distributor of Java enabled applications for mobile, this is a fantastic way to get your creations in the hands of your customers.
Each game/application will have its own page on java.com with a screenshot and description. If a customer wants to buy the application they will be sent to your mobile internet site for download and payment (powered by Bango). See how it works.
If you have a mobile game or application that has been built using Java technologies, fill out the java.com mobile applications program submission form and you will be considered for inclusion.
If successful, you will be asked to send details of your Java application including a description and screenshots to Bango. These will need to conform to the image specifications. These details will be placed on the java.com site where it will be promoted to end-users.
So that your customers can pay for and download your Java applications, they will be sent to a mobile site hosted by you. You will be expected to detect the mobile device type and deliver the appropriate Java application for that device.
In order to charge for your application(s) you will need to set up a Bango Java Express package ($189, £109 or €165 per month) and integrate this into your mobile site. Bango will pay you 60% (after taxes) of the purchase price you set. 15% of each transaction will go to Sun for marketing and administration costs, this will be deducted by Bango.
