Payforit 'Single Click' coming soon
We're very excited to announce the imminent availability of Payforit "Single Click" a stream-lined version of the UK WAP payment scheme that gives customers the ability to pay for your content with just one click of their phone.
At Bango, we believe this is the most significant usability advancement of the Payforit scheme since its launch last year. Forming part of the new Payforit v1.4 rules, "Single Click" allows customers to buy from your WAP page with one easy click without having to additionally click-thru the standard Payforit pages on every occasion.
Similar to the "1-click" experience widely supported by web businesses such as Amazon, customers who are regular purchasers and are comfortable paying with their mobile phones can select Single Click and enjoy a fast, streamlined payment experience to compare with the best on-line web sites. You can look forward to uninterrupted payments from your customers, higher success rates and fewer "lost" transactions.
To enable your site for Single Click, you will request the Bango Single Click button from us, in exactly the same way that you normally request a buy link. You do not need to implement anything else on your site! When your customer clicks the Buy button, Bango will determine the user's status and, if they are an active Single Click user - we automatically bill them in the background and send them back to your site with no additional screens in between. In the initial months of Single Click going live, the UK operators want to double check that this is implemented correctly on content providers' sites and Bango is here to expedite this for you.
The Bango system manages all the required logic and records each individual Single Click purchase exactly as we do for normal WAP billing payments. Our system determines when to present the Single Click experience based on each individual user's status for every transaction. Users will be required to opt-in to use Single Click (as for example they need to for Amazon 1-click) and to ensure that users do not get "carried away" they will need to re-confirm use of Single Click after spending 20 GBP, or if they haven't reached the 20 GBP limit, after 30 days from first selecting the Single Click option.
Single Click's improved payment speed will work for any mobile content site and will be particularly beneficial for services that generate frequent purchases during a user browsing session. View the
Knowledge Base for more information on Single Click and keep a look out for further information on Payforit 1.4 in the customer updates in the weeks to come.
When the new Payforit feature has been released we will provide you with details on how to get and use the Buy button and guidance on your sites' buy page design, to ensure that the consumer understands they are making a bill-able purchase and that the button is compatible with your page layout.
Kind regards
