Relay input URLs
If you use the Bango Relay service, you'll know how important it is to get your input URLs right. These are the URLs you use to send customers to your site.
If your URLs aren't well formed it might mean your consumers can’t reach your content. But it needn't be a techie headache! Our tips below will help you get it right.
A good input URL might look like this:
http://bango.net/go.aspx?bango=111333&c=150&p=20 |
Notice that the parameter bango=111333 (Bango Number) comes first. This should always be the case.
Any additional parameters you might want to send (here we've used cost c=150 and the custom parameter p=20) should follow on from there, with the p parameter last of all.
Common mistakes
http://bango.net/go.aspx?p=282067 - there's no Bango Number in this URL. Always include it.
http://bango.net/bango=111333781864& amp;& amp;p=1234 - no go.aspx in the string and multiple encoding of ampersand (amp;)
Good practice tips
Always use bango=1113337 not b=1113337
Put the Bango Number parameter first: bango=17800
URL-encode all parameter values just once before sending to Bango using a site like blooberry.com
Try getting into the habit of placing the p parameter last. This helps define each value if you're using multiple values within a single p parameter
