75% of mobile web users search for content

A new study issued by digital marketing agency iCrossing reports 75% of those who use the mobile web conduct searches, expressing a clear preference for major search engine brands like Google and Yahoo! over operators' mobile platforms.

Also 75% of respondents said they are unwilling to browse past the second page of search results.

"The type of content users seek varies greatly, but websites must be positioned in at most the first two pages of results in order to earn users' clicks," iCrossing writes. "In addition, sites must be optimized carefully so they can be captured in a maximum of three keywords."

How can I take advantage of mobile search?

1. Submit your site for a free to Yahoo!’s natural search results for mobile. Premium search position is also available if you’d like to boost your rankings at any stage.

2. Buy Google Mobile AdWords and make sure you get on the first two results pages. Go to bango.net/adwords to set up your account and get going.

If you are earning around $2000 a day, then experience has shown you can doubled your revenue by bidding for key Google search terms. Why not give it a try.

Kind regards
