New PayPal Mobile Checkout now liveGreat news Bango has now gone live with PayPal's new Mobile Checkout service giving consumers a totally mobile way to pay with their PayPal account. There's no need to go to a PC to synchronize your mobile phone with your PayPal account as it's all done on the mobile web. 143 million PayPal accountsThere are 143 million PayPal accounts world-wide, so paying by mobile for PayPal customers becomes a very attractive option, when paying on the phone bill is not available. Here's how it works: When a consumer clicks on a Bango-hosted payment page and operator billing is not available, they are presented with the PayPal payment option (1). They enter their email address and their account password.
On the next page, users input their mobile number and a pin number which they need to remember for next time (2). They click on the Pay button further down the page. Payment is then processed and users returned to your site for the download. A cookie is stored on the user's phone so the next time they pay with their PayPal account, they only need to login by entering their pin once before the second page is displayed, making it fast and easy to pay by PayPal. Note: The user is sent a text message to activate the pin number for next time but this will soon disappear as the service is rolled out across the world - it is currently available in the USA, UK and Canada. All content sold through PayPal must be G-rated. If you have any questions about this new service, contact support@bango.com. Kind regards Bango customer services | |
