Mobile World Congress 2012This year’s Mobile World Congress is just around the corner and promises to be the largest and most exciting yet. With top keynote speakers and jam-packed conference sessions there’s much to learn, not to mention the opportunity to visit key mobile players throughout the vast exhibition halls.

The sheer scale of the conference can make it difficult to know which way to turn, so here are a couple of recommendations from Bango.

If you can get into the keynotes there are some top speakers from companies including Google, eBay, Facebook, Visa, Ford Motor Company and Ericsson. As you can imagine these are very popular so you’ll need to get there early. The good news is some of these sessions are being streamed live over the internet so you don’t have to miss out.

Make sure you take a look at the App Planet, an exhibition hall uniting the world’s key app players. There’s a whole range of seminars, over 200 app specific exhibitors and the opportunity to network in the App Lounge. We think you’ll hear a lot about HTML5 becoming the new platform for mobile app development. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to get up to speed with the latest technology from the fast-moving apps industry.

Bango will be attending Mobile World Congress, so if you want to schedule a meeting during the conference email Fiona Conroy at F.Conroy@newgatethreadneedle.com. We look forward to seeing you there.
