Telefonica made an announcement today strongly supporting the roll-out of mobile operator billing capabilities for its strategic mobile platform partners.
The release refers to key Bango customers BlackBerry (RIM) and Facebook, who are working with Bango to provide operator billing to their customers across a global footprint.
There is a long standing linkage between Bango and Telefonica. Telefonica was the first mobile operator to integrate its payment system with Bango back in 2002, and the company has been a real champion of mobile operator billing ever since.
That our relationship continues 10 years later is a testament to the long term potential of mobile operator billing.
