Role
As Group Product Manager (GPM) you will play a key role in building the platform that makes Bango the technology behind every payment choice. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will play a pivotal role in translating the company’s product strategy into objectives for your product team and Group. The Group represents several product teams working within a single common area (for example Bango Resale). You will have responsibility for identifying opportunities and shaping ideas that address the needs of our customers (both current and future) and continue to drive Bango’s success.
Responsibilities
- Discover opportunities by continuously listening to customers, learning from what has been released and examining available data.
- Provide clear definitions of the problem to solve, with data and hypotheses that validate product strategy.
- Collaborate with product team, especially Tech Leads and Engineering Delivery Managers to find solutions to problems, mitigating viability and value risks as rapidly as possible.
- Communicate validated, data informed solutions that are shaped for development.
- Collaborate closely with (and be a close enabler of) engineering, marketing, sales, delivery and support teams to build and release Bango products.
- Understand the challenges facing your market, your target customers and the Bango business, and formulate ideas that help to overcome those challenges.
- For your product group, you’re responsible for product strategy deliverables for the roadmap, clearly describing the business case, challenges, journeys, ideas and success metrics.
- Ensure that the group of products is aligned to the product strategy and support other Product Managers building their products to that strategy.
- Leadership of the group, coaching Product Managers to grow skills, expertise, knowledge in their career as a Product Manager, and collaborating with peers to share ideas, best practices and to innovate thinking and alignment across the Product organization.
- Line management responsibility for Product Managers in the group.

- Excellent communication skills—able to listen deeply, influence stakeholders, and articulate decisions clearly.
- A track record of delivering product value in environments with shifting priorities and evolving requirements.

- Practical understanding of self-serve and developer experience principles—especially for platform products.
- Experience working in an environment with strong DevOps or continuous delivery practices.
