Bango returns to StreamTV Show with new bundling report & product launch
by Giles Tongue

For the past two years, I’ve been attending StreamTV with colleagues from Bango, and it continues to be a great opportunity to raise our profile and meet new prospects.
New report – Gravity shift
This year we’re premiering a new report, working title “Gravity Shift”, which is based on a huge survey of 201 executives across subscription businesses, and probes their attitudes to customer acquisition and bundling. You can be the very first to receive this by registering here.
New product – Digital Vending Machine CX
Bango also recently announced all-in-one subscription bundling technology, including the Digital Vending Machine CX, which enables content providers and resellers (bundlers and bundlees) to get to market quickly, with the DVM now including a white label front end. We’re really excited to be showcasing this at StreamTV. You can see our release about Optimum (Altice) who are one of the first customers to make use of this with a Disney+ and Hulu bundle.
New venue and new additions to the show
Relocating to the Gaylord, the StreamTV show hopes to go from around 400 attendees of recent times, to over 1,000 this year.
Media Summit and Media Odyssey podcast
I’m really excited to be attending the new Media Summit addition by media cartographer Evan Shapiro. Bringing with him, I’m also looking forward to hearing from collaborator Marion Ranchet, representing Europe in many matters of the streaming debate including championing bundling. During the media summit we can expect to hear from Jonathan Thompson, CEO of EveryoneTV (Freely), representatives from Channel 4, YoutTube, Samsung, Freemantle, PlutoTV, Trade Desk, as well as data and insights from Nielsen, Hub Research and Ampere Analytics.
Together, Evan and Marion will also record a live episode of the Media Odyssey podcast, which is a great experience – I witnessed a live recording at MIP London earlier in the year. I suspect this US audience may “whoop and holler” at the right moments.
Bango CMO Anil Malhotra recently appeared on the podcast which you can watch back live here, which helped launch our previous study Subscriptions Assemble, a study of 5,000 americans and their streaming behaviours, which you can watch below.
Available on Apple Podcast and Spotify.
Future of streamonomics
Alan Wolk and the team at TVRev are hosting a series of discussions on FAST, TV, TV OS, including experts including representatives from Stingray, LG, Xumo, which will no doubt be enlightening, including a well timed fireside on “The Battle for the living room”.
