Bango has been crowned the Best Alternative Payments Project winner at the Payments Awards 2016. Bango received the award in recognition for implementing the first Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) launch for Google Play on the Indian Sub-Continent, in partnership with Idea Cellular.
Recognizing and celebrating cards and payments excellence and innovation, the Payments Awards were held on 20 October in London. Shortlisted for the Best Alterative Payment Project alongside bPay by Barclaycard, Paysafe Group and Vodafone Group Plc, Bango were proud to be selected as the winner.
This latest award win is a testament to the power of the Bango Payment Platform for opening up online payments to the mobile mass market, enabling access to content for billions of consumers worldwide.
A fantastic month for Bango, October has also seen us nominated for the Most Effective Mobile Payment Solution at the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards 2016.
